It involves the insertion of biodegradable threads (usually made of PDO – Polydioxanone) under the skin using a fine needle or cannula. Among these, PDO threads are the most widely used and time-tested. Composed of a biodegradable polyester, PDO threads dissolve in about 6 months, triggering collagen stimulation through fibroblast activity. The dermal thread lift at Zenith Aesthetics is a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure designed to lift sagging skin and stimulate collagen production—without surgery or extended downtime. Here's how the treatment typically unfolds:

1. Personalized Consultation

A detailed assessment of your facial structure, skin laxity, and aesthetic goals is done.

The doctor decides on the type of threads (PDO, Cog, Mono, Screw) and the areas to be treated.

2. Preparation & Marking

The treatment area is cleansed and disinfected.

Local anesthesia or a numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort.

The skin is marked to guide precise thread placement.

3. Thread Insertion

Using a fine needle or blunt-tip cannula, the selected threads are gently inserted into the skin's sub-dermal layer.

For lifting (cog threads), the threads are pulled into place to lift the targeted area instantly.

The number of threads varies based on the area and desired lift.

4. Adjustments & Finishing

The threads are trimmed and adjusted for symmetry.

Once in place, they start stimulating natural collagen production over the next few weeks.

5. Post-Treatment Care

Mild swelling or bruising may occur and typically resolves in 2–3 days.

You’ll be advised to avoid vigorous facial movements, massages, or sleeping on your face for a few days.
